The Verloren Series
The Verloren Series is one of many of my comics that I have written and illustrated. It’s a dark fantasy story centered around monster hunting. The main idea if about legendary monsters and cryptids coming from an alternate version of earth, similar to an ‘upside down world'.
Kar Thorn
Kar Thorn and Dream Killer are the main characters in the story. In hopes of turning a new leaf they both work together to stop evil monsters from destroying Verloren and invading Earth. The story centers around their discoveries and adventures in this dark fantasy story.
Kar's main ability is when Dream Killer "possesses" her body and the become what she calls her Siren Form. Her skin turns purple, eyes roll up into her head making them blank, her teeth grow sharp, and her hands turn to sharp claws. This ability gives her a strength and speed boost, allowing her to battle with Dream Killer's influence.
The Marques
The Marques is the ruler of Verloren. The most common knowledge of her origin is that she is a being from outer space that was told to guard and rule the lost world. Since she is the ruler her magic is extremely powerful, but she can’t control this crazy world all on her own. So she hired Kar and Dream Killer to help fight back the evil forces that build within Verloren.
Loki Lamia
Loki Lamia is the outcast in his family of vampires. While everyone travels the night trying to show off their wealth and immortality he spends his days in the woods building his strength and having fun. What his brother calls wasting time he sees it at living his life. He becomes friends with Kar Thorn and comes along on her monster hunting adventures, because he wants Verloren to be as peaceful as The Marques want it to be.
Bruce Conning
Bruce Conning was an orphan as long as he could remember. He wasn’t sure how he survived or who even protected him as a child. What he does remember was music guiding him and becoming his true passion in life. He was inspired by many influential musicians in Verloren and found his strength in rock and roll. He’s Loki’s best friend and also joins in on the fun of monster hunting with Kar Thorn.
Nickel Wolfbane
Nickel Wolfbane isn’t the most fortunate character. He was born blind and struggled to find his purpose in life that wasn’t dictated by his father Xavier Wolfbane. Even with his disability he dreamed of traveling and learning about magic. He managed to gain a friendship with Loki and Bruce, allowing him to explore the possibility that he’s more powerful then he realizes.
Tybone Rex
Tybone Rex is the alpha of a pack of werewolves that befriends Kar Thorn early in the story. He’s charismatic, caring, and loyal to those who do things for the greater good. He may come off as intimidating at first but he will fight for anyone who is in need.
